Revit Architectural Technician

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a capable, detail-focused Architectural Technician to work remotely with Hosannahs, a UK-based architectural and technical design company.

You should be confident producing accurate Revit models and coordinated drawings, managing your workload and communicating clearly with our team.

Essential skills and qualities:

• • Excellent practical proficiency in Autodesk Revit. You must be able to produce and amend models, plans, elevations, sections, schedules and drawing sheets independently.
• • A portfolio demonstrating your own contribution to architectural drawings and technical detailing.
• • A sound understanding of building construction, materials and how building elements fit together.
• • The ability to interpret measured surveys, photographs, sketches and project briefs, and identify missing or conflicting information.
• • Strong attention to detail, with a consistent approach to checking dimensions, annotations and drawing coordination.
• • Clear written and spoken English, including the ability to explain technical questions and respond accurately to feedback.
• • Reliable remote working habits, including regular progress updates, organised files and early communication of potential delays.
• • Availability to collaborate during agreed hours that overlap with the UK working day.

Desirable experience:

• • Familiarity with Revit phasing, families, view templates, linked models and collaborative working.
• • A relevant architectural technology, building design or construction qualification, or equivalent practical experience.

Key Responsibilities

• • Develop and maintain Revit models using supplied survey information, photographs and project instructions.
• • Prepare existing and proposed floor plans, elevations and sections, clearly distinguishing retained, demolished and new work.
• • Produce technical details, schedules and coordinated drawing sheets in accordance with the project brief and Hosannahs' drawing standards.
• • Support the preparation of planning, building regulations, building warrant and construction drawing packages under the direction of the project lead.
• • Incorporate approved design changes, review comments and consultant information accurately throughout the model and drawings.
• • Coordinate architectural information with structural engineers and other consultants, identifying discrepancies for resolution.
• • Check drawings before internal review, including dimensions, levels, annotations, schedules and consistency between views.
• • Maintain organised project files, revision records and drawing issue information.
• • Manage agreed tasks and deadlines, provide progress updates and raise technical questions promptly.
• • Protect confidential project information and follow the company's file-sharing and document-management procedures.
